What if it doesn't fit?
I am happy to exchange any sweater that does not fit your pet within 30 days of purchase. The sweater can have been tried on, but must not have been worn for any notable length of time and be in saleable condition upon return. Any cost difference will be refunded or charged for the replacement.
If it was a custom sweater, it will be corrected or exchanged at no charge with the necessary adjustments to fit.
If you are unsure of fit, or buying as a gift, please contact me directly. Photos are very helpful for me to advise on the size or sweater choice.
Will my sweater shrink?
Short answer, No. Most sweaters are knitted in machine wash/dry fibres that will not shrink. Even the Wool or Wool blends are mostly superwash wool, meaning it can be tossed in the dryer without worry. However, there are exceptions, primarily in the more luxury fibres and finer yarns, where they will need to be laid flat to dry. These will be clearly marked on the label. If you tumble dry them, they will shrink or be damage. Tumble drying without heat is also not recommended as it can cause the fibre to begin to felt up in an undesirable way and damage the pattern.
Note: If your sweater does not have a "Leni" label on it with washing instructions, it most likely needs to be hand washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. We recommend using a mild detergent, like Woolite, in this case. Since I rarely use these types of fibres for pets.
What if my sweater is damaged?
All of these garments are hand knit to a very high standard. My workmanship is 100% guaranteed, so if you are concerned about a loose stitch or any other issue please contact me immediately. I will repair or replace any garment up to 1 year from purchase for construction defect. Don't be shy about anything, I would much rather fix your sweater or make a new one, then have your pet wear an unraveled sweater!
Damage done by your pet or another during play is not covered, but let me know I might be able to repair it for a nominal fee.
What if my dog has allergies?
If your dog has very sensitive skin or allergies, acrylic, nylon or other specialty fibres like Bamboo, Silk or Cashmere (goat wool) are recommended. Note, Specialty yarns will be knitted on a custom order basis only.
If your dog is not sensitive to Sheep's Wool (or Lamb food) our standard Washable Wool Blends or 100% Merino Wools are also appropriate in most cases. They are generally quite soft and should not scratch or irritate the skin.
